Does the medium blur the boundaries between home and work?

It depends on the jobs that people work on; there are some certain jobs that not required being at work. For instance, data analyst can review data at home without being at work. They can email to inform their staff if something goes wrong. These people can work all day, night if needed. Their daily routine makes them to become workaholics without noticing it; therefore they spend less time with families, friends. On the contrary, there are some people, who get on the internet to play game, chat, socialize with other people all day long because they have nothing to do. Beside that, they can use the internet as a communication tool to contact their friends instead of using the phone; it is simply to save money on their phone bill. As per interview, Internet use blends with real life. It is absolutely true, because technology has been a part of our daily life now.

Do you see a difference in how the Internet is used by different generations?

We can talk about the Digital Natives and Digital Immigrants generations. As we learned from section 1, the Digital Natives use the Internet different then the Digital Immigrants. Digital Natives use Internet to play game, instant message or post themselves on Facebook account, they use Internet to entertain instead of learning something new. Digital Immigrants use Internet as a tool to make their life a little more comfortable, they take advance of it to pay bills, contact their relatives and keep in touch with their friends or using it as a teaching technique. Certain level has certain use, knowledge of Internet but the most common is Internet making people happier.

How much time do you or people you know actually spend online? Is the time spent researching, Shopping, or socializing?

I use Internet to take online courses, pay my bills and improve my knowledge. There are so many of topics available on the web that I can learn. It can be either from fixing the house to how to manage the budget. I spend around five hours or less, it depends on what kind of subject that I need to do.

Comment on the accuracy and scope of the study

This study was true at some parts; Internet isolated people from socializing. Also, it is not healthy, mind or body to not have a routine of getting up, taking a shower, and having to go places like everyone else. This may cause someone to be lazier, and less motivated. On other hand, at this point we can not value the accuracy of using the Internet. It still has a mix of Digital Natives and Digital Immigrants. It is a little early to know the actual use of Internet when there is still the other half of society without the Internet.
